Seaweed and Cashew Spread

Prepare the Ingredients:
Soak the cashews in boiling water for 20 minutes, then drain them.
Rehydrate the dried seaweed by soaking it in cold water for about 10 minutes. Drain and press out the excess water.
Blend the spread:
In a blender or food processor, combine the cashews, rehydrated seaweed, lemon juice, garlic (if using), water, olive oil, nutritional yeast (if using), tamari, and rolled oats.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
If the mixture seems too thick, add a bit more water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
If the mixture is too runny, add an extra 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of rolled oats, blend again, and let the mixture rest for a few minutes to thicken.
Serve:
Transfer the spread to a bowl.
Garnish with sesame or nigella seeds for a finishing touch.
Serve with crackers, bread, or vegetable sticks.
