Ingredients
Ingredients for the dough:
- 180 g of all-purpose flour
- 100 g of fine sugar
- 10 g of baking powder
- 2 g of salt
- 25 g of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 210 ml of vegetable milk almond, soy, etc.
- 30 g of neutral vegetable oil such as sunflower oil
- 5 ml of apple cider vinegar to activate the yeast
- 5 ml of vanilla extract
Ingredients for the glaze:
- 150 g of icing sugar
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of vegetable milk
- 30 g of cocoa powder
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Ingredients for decoration:
- 2 to 3 teaspoons of cocoa powder
Instructions
Preparing the Donuts:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a donut mold.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix the vegetable milk, vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar, and vanilla extract.
- Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until you have a smooth dough.
- Fill the donut molds three-quarters full and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes.
- Let the donuts cool before unmolding them.
Icing the Donuts:
- Sift the icing sugar with the cocoa powder and cinnamon.
- Gradually incorporate the vegetable milk until a smooth consistency is obtained.
- Dip the cooled donuts in the glaze or use a spatula to apply it.
Decoration suggestions:
- Sprinkle cocoa powder directly on the glaze. Don't wait for it to cool before sprinkling.
