The Secret of the Han (Donuts)

In Maison Marmite‘s exceptional “The Dragon’s Breath” donut collection, The Secret of the Han reveals itself as a captivating creation, inviting pastry enthusiasts to a true play of tastes and textures. Inspired by the cultural brilliance of the Han dynasty, this enigmatic donut conceals unsuspected flavors within, an invitation to sensory discovery punctuated with spicy touches that recall the rich historical heritage of this opulent era.

The originality of The Secret of the Han lies in its carefully selected blend of spices cinnamon, ginger, cloves, star anise, and a hint of white pepper. These spices, emblematic of the Spice Route, blend perfectly with a soft dough, releasing a burst of flavors in the mouth, enhanced by a lemon zest glaze that brings a pleasant freshness and a refined balance.

As a final touch, you have the choice between the delicacy of candied ginger, soft and slightly sweet, reminiscent of that served in Japanese restaurants, or the vivacity of freshly grated ginger, for a more piquant sensation and a pronounced flavor.

This donut is not just a gustatory pleasure; it is a celebration of history and tradition, the main theme of the “The Dragon’s Breath” collection. With The Secret of the Han, Maison Marmite offers you not just a donut, but a culinary experience where each bite is a journey through flavors and epochs.
